Externally, works included roofing and chimney stack repairs, drainage repairs, and a full renewal of the veranda. Originally scoped for repair, our survey found renewal offered better long-term value, and the client agreed to proceed on that basis. Extensive tarmac works and external decorations were also carried out across the site.
Once scaffold access was in place, our team carried out further surveys and identified additional external works required beyond the original scope, which were incorporated into the programme.
Internally, the scope covered a full kitchen refurbishment with an electrical rewire to support it, a new laundry room, refurbished toilets, upgraded ventilation, and full internal decorations, along with flooring and lighting upgrades throughout.
The original 10-week programme extended to 16 weeks to accommodate the additional variations, with our team working closely with the client throughout to manage expectations and keep the project on track to a successful completion.
The team at Gunning London were very pragmatic in their approach when it came to the processing of waste materials and were able to reclaim, recycle or re-use 95% of the materials used.
