Fairfield Hall is a local landmark built in 1860 as a hospital and converted into residential apartments in the 1990s. We delivered the buildings first maintenance cycle since its conversion, working across five phases in a fully occupied building.
Our work included –
Masonry repairs to brick and stonework, with DOFF cleaning throughout
Extensive repairs to the original timber windows, avoiding costly replacement
Replacement gutters and downpipes in a heritage-profile aluminium
Fully itemised and priced repair schedules issues to the CA once the scaffold was up, to support budget and programme planning
A full time, non-working site manager ran a methodical process from set-up and scaffold through repair surveys to completion. We coordinated closely with residents and with Bannatyne’s Gym, which adjoins the Phase 5 area. Our on-site team managed subcontract packages tightly to keep the finish to a high standard.
Every phase was completed on time and within budget, and one phase finished more than four weeks ahead of schedule.
Throughout each of the projects Gunning London have provided both a professional and reliable service every step of the way. The team delivered the project from start to finish with the highest standard and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
